I am originally from Taiwan and began my career in health care there as a veterinarian. After moving to the United States, I studied chiropractic medicine in Georgia and became a licensed chiropractor. I initially became interested in studying chiropractic medicine because of my experience with scoliosis and my desire to take care of my own back. I continued my training in holistic medicine and I received my acupuncture license in California. After doing IVF in Taiwan, I gave birth to my son. Now that he is attending school, I would like to spend more time applying my educational and professional experience toward helping patients get the health care they need.
As an acupuncturist, my treatments aim to heal the body through the application of Traditional Chinese Medicine techniques. For example, I use gua sha massage, cupping, and the application of acupuncture needles to reduce tension and stress. I also formulate herbal balms for topical application to treat skin conditions. I enjoy taking continuing education courses to learn about new advances in the field, including cosmetic and auricular acupuncture methods.
I believe that the body can heal itself; my role is to remind it how to work properly again and restore health in a natural way.
